I use Sunset Foundry in Valley Springs Ca. They make their cast iron out of steel that is new like punchings etc. in an electric furnace. The iron is top quality Resonably priced. The phone number is 209-754-0601 David Freitas is the owner. Valley Springs is Southeast of Sacramento.

On the subject of injectors verses stem pumps. No on has mentioned cost, in general injectors are about 1/2 the price less then a steam pump if you are a buying ready to run componet. This back to back of 7.12 inch's in the so called IBLS standards ( a carryover from the Southern California Live Steamer standards of many years ago printed in the Little Engines catalog ) is false. The prototype back to back is 53" to 53 3/8" depending on the locomotive and location on the locomot...

The pumps on Seymor Johnson's hudson were made by myself and my son Don many years ago. They were working until Seymor got hold of them. The pump under the running board is a water pump and is still working according to Bob Franks who I spoke to earlier today.( Traintown Sonoma Ca.) - Ed Yungling
