Re: Jack Bodenmann

Hi Bob I continue to work on the MEG. I just finished installing 2 Super Scale injectors so I wont have to listen to that crosshead pump, just the side rods clanking. As jack would say "no shortage of things to do". Why don't you come to Bitter Creek for the Presidents Day Run ( Feb. 18, 19, 20) and...

Re: Conversion factors

So many prototype dimensions are in feet and inches, I convert them all to inches and then divide by the conversion factor. Example: 3ft 6in= 36in + 6in=42in divided by 8= 5.25in. Hope this helps

Try this guy for piano hinges. http://www.nelsonhobby.com/miniature_piano_hinges.php Ask him to put a backing on the hinge for shipping so it doesn't get bent.

Jack Bodenmann

Hi all I am impressed by the work that all of you do. I don't have a lot of money to spend on this hobby so I find that I work a lot with a hack saw, file, and "found material". Some of what I turn out is rather crude, but I'm having fun doing it. A great source of inspiration for me is Jack Bodenma...

6 foot gomer

With the foot pegs on my C-16 for ground running, I won't have to worry about my "GOMER" feet dragin' on the ground. I ran across an old youtube of you (mostly from behind) walking the property. Looks like a wonderful place to build a railroad- - - - Need any help?

The car is lookin' good. Your dad is quite a craftsman. One question. If this is to be the propane car for your MEG, how will you vent the car? you aren't going to cut holes in that beautiful flooring are you?

Re: Narrow Gauge Fever at Bitter Creek: The photos

Mike your photos are terrific as always. It was nice to meet your dad. I wish I would have spent more time with him. To busy runnun' the loco. Who was the woman with the video camera on the tripod? Would love to see her shots.

Bench Seat

I'd like to build a bench seat running the length of my flat car. Any suggestions about seat width and height? Padding and fabric?

Re: 2.5" Scale Coupler Height

There will be a bunch of 2 1/2" ( in addition to 87 Chloes) equipment at the Bitter Creek narrow gauge meet this weekend. Bring your "guessin' stick and lets see who did what with there couplers. I just did a rush job to on a flat car to pull behind my MEG. The MEG has 1 1/2" couplers so that's what...
