Re: Live steam track east of Templeton CA

I have driven by there a number of times and never seen anything running. It is in the 12" to 15" gauge with very tight curves. Rumor is the guy stopped running years ago due to a lawsuit, but I have no 1st hand knowledge of that.

Greg, your hinges are beautiful. I never thought about using photo copies of the real thing, great idea.
If you ever have a need for piano hinges in miniature, these are nice. http://www.nelsonhobby.com/miniature_piano_hinges.php

I had the pleasure of seeing the dwarf signal "in person" Sunday at Bitter Creek and it is a beauty. Excellent craftsmanship.
Nice to meet you Robert.

I have to agree, this is fun. I like to find things to use also. I needed a sink for my caboose. My wife came home with an ice cream scoop and said "will this work?" You bet. Cut off the handle, cobble a counter top, JB Weld it all together and presto, a sink!

This is awful! I hate it when bad things happen to good people. Our prayers go out to you.

Re: building a 3" scale bobber caboose

Thank you Mike for your continued contributions to my caboose project. And thank you Doug for your water jet parts. I would never be able to finish my bobber without you guys.

Thanks,

Jim
