Re: Iron Pony Speed Adjustment

CP4449, You know Rod will still sell you stuff. He just doesn't do it as a full time gig any more. And he doesn't stock a huge inventory. But he will make you things on order. I just received the F7 A unit kit I ordered from him. It arrived last week. The shipping and crating was of the highest stan...

Re: Iron Pony Speed Adjustment

Thanks for the answers guys. I have heard a lot of guys say that they have burned up 4QD boards. Is this a common occurance. Is this due to overheating. Would it be a good idea to add a larger heat sink and a fan. Oilcan what is the newer motor controller that you bought but don't like as much as th...

Iron Pony Speed Adjustment

I notice in the manual it says that a 200 ohm resistance from the control pot equates to no throttle/off and 4800 ohms is full throttle. Would using a 10K pot effectively double the maximum speed. I don't want to just tr...

Chris,

Perhaps you got your one inch scale marker lamps from one inch railroad supply in Ferndale Washington.

I use these markers for my equipment, they are great. I believe $35.00 for a pair

Re: supplier

I believe most of the stuff is for 1" scale. Some things are for 1.5". It is run by a guy named steven ponterelli. It is Guy Wicksall's old line of stuff

Re: Heat Proof Paint

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the response. Is there any particular one of their product lines I should use, or does that not matter.

Heat Proof Paint

Hi Guys, A friend of mine has a railroad supply corporation 2-8-0. The original builder did not use heat proof paint for the number plate on the smokebox. As a result all the paint has come off over time. I am wanting to repaint it using heat proof paint. Do you guys know of any suppliers of heat pr...

Re: 1" railroad spikes etc.

Hi I am not sure about one inch scale spikes. A friend of mine had a box of new unused spikes a couple of years ago but he sold them to someone last year. I am not sure who made them but I think it might have been little engines? I will have to ask him. As for one inch suppliers, there is Lonnie who...
