Heat Proof Paint

Hi Guys, A friend of mine has a railroad supply corporation 2-8-0. The original builder did not use heat proof paint for the number plate on the smokebox. As a result all the paint has come off over time. I am wanting to repaint it using heat proof paint. Do you guys know of any suppliers of heat pr...

Re: 1" railroad spikes etc.

I just noticed this morning that this company in the UK sells spikes in various different sizes. If you scroll down to page 5 of the catalogue you will see what I mean

Re: 1" railroad spikes etc.

Hi I am not sure about one inch scale spikes. A friend of mine had a box of new unused spikes a couple of years ago but he sold them to someone last year. I am not sure who made them but I think it might have been little engines? I will have to ask him. As for one inch suppliers, there is Lonnie who...

Nelson Gray One Inch Scale Switchstand

Does anybody have the schematics/drawings/instructions for the Nelson Gray one inch scale switchstands. I have a few I bought several years ago and never put together. I decided this week I would finally cross them off the to do list but can't find the printed material that came with them. If anybod...

Re: Tracks Ahead Episode 701: Garden Riding

Is anybody on this board the uploader of the youtube video. For some reason it is now marked as private. I sure would love to see this episode. Considering it's a publication of PBS (Tracks Ahead Program), you may be able to find it online by accessing the PBS website. No, I haven't tried. Might be...

Re: Radio control

I should mention that my radio control setup will only be used on a private one inch track and not when any other trains are running. As it is still a rather contentious issue, I would never even consider putting it on a 1.5 or 1.6 engine that I planned on running at a club track. I can definitely u...

Re: Radio control

A good radio and receiver would be the Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHz 6 channel radio. For those unfamiliar with how the 2.4 GHz radio systems work compared to the standard FM transmitters and receivers of the past here is a site that describes the differences. Basically the specific transmitter and receiver yo...

Re: Signal Suppliers

I had forgotten that I had seen the pictures on the Boston Locomotive Works website as well, but seeing this thread jogged my memory. I contacted them to see why the pictures were no longer on the website and if they were still planning on offering them. I got three very nice email responses from th...

Re: Wanted: 6 Wheel Commonwealth truck 1" guage

One Inch Railroad Supply in Ferndale Washington sells them. They are good to deal with and have bought many parts from them over the years.
