Re: 15 in. gauge track

No, not any 15" gauge. There are some 2' a lot of 7-1/2" and some 4-3/4"

Hi John

Are you going to be building a 15" gauge track in FL?

Working Ballast Hoppers "working doors details"

I am looking at building some working ballast hoppers. Is there any suggestions on how to make the working doors.

Thanks

Re: 32 hopper cars in 2-1/2 days

There is one picture I would like to see in the end. A 32+ car hopper train pulled by steam.

Florida Live Steamers

I have been getting email about the Florida Live Steamers meets so here are the dates. If you have any questions about the meet dates at a particular track you please contact that railroad. You can get to their web page from the Ridge Live Steamers links page. This will be the last year for the Boco...

Re: What do you guys recommand

What I was trying to say is. Start to build the small parts that will be used on a locomotive. There are valves, fittings, and all kinds of parts to build that will fit in a backpack. Car Storage

We are starting to talk about a storage building at RLS and were wondering how long it needs to be to store eight 5-foot long freight cars? In other words how long is a string on eight 5-foot long freight cars? Are there any other recommendations on long it should be? Besides being as long as possib...

Golden Spike

We held a rusty screw ceremony at the Ridge Live Steamers track this past Saturday. (We couldn't find any gold spikes.) This completes phase II, giving use a main line run of around 4100 feet. The new extension adds a 70 foot long tunnel, 200 foot long trestle, 40 foot skewed bridge and 2 more passi...

Erie triplex, Chris Brew

I was on the old board looking at some information and came across a post by Chris Brew that there is an Erie triplex up and running.

What scale is it, were is it at, and are there any pictures.
