Re: HICKORY RIDGE

I'm not sure of the exact reason. But I can find out. I know one of the owners of HR and he is a real nice guy. My understanding is that now all the delay is because of the lawyers. You know how they can be, sucking a person dry of money. I should know womething by the end of the weekend though and ...

Re: HICKORY RIDGE

No. It isn't Hickory Ridge business that is at fault. It is the landlord illegally locking them out of the building. Once they get things into court and get their belongings back, I am sure they will re-open. Until then, we have to wait.

Re: Can't sleep: dry pipes?

You know, when I first seen the post, I thought he was getting ready to aire some personal information that I didn't think I was going to want to read. Glad now I read it :-) But you know, I never thought anything about brass deteriorating. What about water pumps and such? Does this affect them as w...

Re: steam plumbing top of sight glass

My understanding, and the way my gauge is fitted, is that it is suppose to come off the tope of the boiler, not the manifold. This would be why the water sputters in the glass why the whistle is blown.

Re: lubricator plumbing

I second it for a double ram. Simply because you can have steam leak from one cylinder to the other by way for the oil line and may not even get oil to the cylinders. ONLY do the tee (not recommended) if you use some sort of check valve where the oil line enters the valve chest. IMHO
