Dockstader Slip Eccentric Program

Does anyone have a copy of the slip eccentric simulator? It's not in the files I have and an email request to the website admin has gone unanswered. Thanks in advance.

Re: Things to do in Florida in January?

There's the Tradewinds and Atlantic in Coconut Creek, I think they still do public runs on the 3rd weekend of the month.

Re: Can a delta-delta transformer be backfed

That makes much more sense, thank you for clarifying. I do know the difference between ground connection and circuit, brain fart on my part.

Re: Can a delta-delta transformer be backfed

Pardon my ignorance, but the transformer needs to be grounded back through the converter to my bonded subpanel, correct? Wouldn't running the wiring to the lathe in metal conduit just continue the ground circuit? Due to size limitations, I can't mount the transformer on the lathe itself. As for the ...

Re: Can a delta-delta transformer be backfed

Thank you. Does anything special need to be done with grounds like the corner grounding needed in a delta-wye transformer?

Can a delta-delta transformer be backfed

Hello all. Trying to get a new lathe up and running. Lathe is 440v so I need to step up the 240v that I have (coming from a rotary phase converter). The transformer that I have looks like a delta-delta step down, can it be backfed as a step up? I've found tons of information on delta-wye transformer...

Re: Burke #4 Questions

Hi Harold, just the opposite. Have other equipment to get higher spindle speeds with, just want to keep this as close as I can to the original speed range. Possibly even lower so I can swing a decent diameter cutter if needed (within the limits of the machine, anyway).

Re: Burke #4 Questions

Thank you again, Glenn. I will most likely end up using the vertical head more often but do have projects that will make use of the horizontal setup. I definitely don't want to spin it too fast, though.

Re: Burke #4 Questions

Thank you, Glenn. The motor with my mill isn't original, and when I went looking for info saw they came with geared heads. Right now it's a 1750 rpm motor that drives the spindle through an idler to the pulley that would drive the power feed setup. It still has a flat belt pulley on the spindle shaf...
