Do I need a filter screen or am I trying to over engineer this I know that stand-alon...

Re: Effects of vertical movement on valve timing

Hi Fred
It will have the same effect as Hackworth
This will be another area I would limit the travel of this axle

Brake Valve

Hi everyone,
I am looking for brake valves for my engine
It needs to be able to change the brake line
Lap (Hold pressure) the brake line
And release the brake line
And if possible have two release positions, one for normal service and the other for emergency service
Thanks everyone
Chris

Re: Effects of vertical movement on valve timing

Hi Al
im not sure what you mean by (knuckle joint)
even if the cylinder are set at 45 degrees, they will still push and pull on the springs, in turn causing the (duck waddle).
which axle are you planing on connecting the cylinders to?

Re: Effects of vertical movement on valve timing

Hi Al,
One way to do this is to have the main drive axle rigid and setup the flexibility in the other two axles
That way you don’t get the “duck waddle” with the engine is working

Just an idea,
Chris

Re: Lubricators in 3/4 scale

Hey GWRdriver Yes, I am using the sand dome as a reservoir for my mechanical lubricator. The lubricator is a sealed unit, with a line feeding from the reservoir. When the lubricator pumps oil into the cylinders, this creates a vacuum, which pulls oil in from the reservoir. I hope this helps Chris
