These parts are small,I know I could wipe them down with oil,but thought there was a chem.process I could dip them in,I have saw tooling with some kind of protection coating on them

What kinda problem you having,do you think its a bolt problem?If you are having head gasket trouble it could be a low liner.I work on a lot of these engines,lots times folks don't clean out the holes and when torqued the bolts holes have oil in them and don't torque proper.

Got it all wired up today!runs really smooooth!,you fellows were right,it was wired for 220

Yep, You are set up for 240, I'm 99.9% sure. If you were wired for 480 those red jumpers with insulated lugs that jumper XY&Z together would not be there. i guess i am getting old and something because you question was 440 to 220 and the motor is already wired for 220 from the looks of it. I must also be getting old at age 34 because it looks like it is currently wired for 240. I just got mill from a school,it has a main switch mounted close to the b...
