Re: Shoptask 1720
Going back through the thread to review your work I see that the changes at Photobucket causing errors in all the other boards is happening here too. Is it the photos hosted on this board are actually on Photobucket? I thought this board did its own hosting? Sadly, it is everywhere and really limits...

Re: Shoptask 1720
Sounds great! Would love to see some pictures of your setup, I'm trying to move everything around to get it all to fit in about 10x20', metal and woodworking, which is a challenge. There seem to be lots of compact woodworking shop ideas on the net but no metal shop ideas...

Re: Sultan of Brunei Miniature Railway

Tom Sorry, I've made an error. :( It was the LS NOV/DEC 1998 not 1989. Back in 1994 I had some nice correspondence by letter (some might remember that way of commu...

Re: Grand Scale catalogs
I believe I have a couple of these in my files SOMEWHERE. One of my Crown catalogs is scanned here: http://www.trainweb.org/NarrowGaugeNews/crown.html More info here: http://www.trainweb.org/NarrowGaugeNews/crowninfo.html I haven't updated these pages in 12 years so none of the links work anymore...

Re: Your own large scale RR
Pretty interesting, kind of sad how things change. I like the little amusement parks, and they DO make money, like the article says, it brings in $10 million a year. But there are EASIER ways to make money; development, high-end restaurant, car lot, whatever. Most people these days I think are looki...

The story of our visit there in the '80s:

Mr. Smith told us when he went to load the U boat it was so heavy the forklift just tipped over, it was made of 1" thick ship-plate or something. I believe I have photos somewhere....

Re: Show your Park Gauge train
Anthony, Quite a roster! Can you tell us more about your RR? Who built the B40?? Thanks Glenn I've known about this railroad for a couple years, here is a good webpage about it: http://utahsadventurefamily.com/s-s-shortline-railroad-in-farmington/ Sadly, it says it is closing to the public in 2016.

Is this engine, on display at the Detroit Zoo a gas powered Cagney? Nice looking engine, much better proportioned that the steam Cagneys, I think.
