Re: 2015 Train Mountain Triennial Video
The producer is on another road trip and as soon as he gets back he should be good to go. I have seen the 'final' cut and it looks awesome. Lot's of those killer aerial quad-copter shots. Russ

"Anybody with information of it?" Belongs to John Cooper of Klamath Falls, he is our head signal maintainer at Train Mountain. He has had some growing pains with it as most of us do, but seems to be running fine now. In regards to 1.5 vs 1.6 vs 1.7 the main single reason for doing any of ...

Re: Riding Car Seat Question
A few years ago I made up some 'portable' seats that fit the Train Mountain flat cars. Here is the link to that old pdf file. Current versions of these seats are only 8 inches high instead of the original 12 inches. They saw plenty of use during the recent Triennial. Russ http://hobby-tronics.com/tr...

Re: They just don't get it

"donation/sale as a fundraiser?" I would think because of the tremendous amount of 'parts' that a subscription would work as a fund raiser long term. I'm thinking a website that we would have access to for downloading this months goodies. Love what you are doing and can't wait until some o...

Re: Scribing wood or scribed wood?
Chooch - depends on the road as to board width also age of car. 2 1/2 scale 3 inch board = .6, 4 inch = .8, while 1 1/2 inch scale 3 inch board = .375, 4 inch = .5. The shape of the tip of the router bit determines the shape of the groove, so tapered bits seem to work the best. I've also done some b...

Re: Fun new youtube video of Train Mountain
"On returning will be bringing the ever growing train " That is one of the ongoing issues at Train Mountain and the Triennials. You see we started with around 185 trains for the first IBLS meet in 2000. In 2003 we added a few more trains BUT everone that returned brought ONE more car. Tha...
