1/6 Scale Loco

A friend has bought an 4-4-0 in 1/6 scale, 9 3/4" gauge. Anyone know of Track that he would be able to try it out on?
He lives in Southern Calif, but would be willing to travel some to run it.
If you have private track, and don't want to post your location, sent me a PM.
Thanks Will

David
I've been run my one inch Atlantic for over 20 years with this burner.
It has never failed me to work perfect every time.

Re: FS Bagley Oil Burners

If you are getting any popping on the Bagley Burner it is most liking because it wants more air. To test for this, try opening the fire box door. If it sounds better with it open you need to make the slot in the fire pan bigger. Try it a little at a time, don't go over board. Most 1.5" Locos st...

Re: Oil Burner

Yes that is the Bagley Burner in lost wax casting.
Some people have made copies of the burner, but not in lost wax.
Dick had the molds made back in 1982, and are still being used today.

Re: Own a piece of history.

56 1/2" divided by 4 = 14 1/8". Thats how it was built, leaving off the 1/8".

Re: Fabricating A Steam Dome

I just finished making my dome for my 2882 in one inch. I started by hammering it in a sand bag, then completed it by pressing in form with my 40 ton press. I used a sheet of .125 copper. That is what I had on hand, and I believe anything much thinner would not have worked.

Re: Own a piece of history.

It's 14" gauge Pacific. Never ran at the Berry Farm. Price, don't know. Call him if you want to buy it. Was completely built by Faccou Brothers.

The press in your picture looks like it has dies for setting rivets. Maybe not?

Re: waterjet or barstock frames?

I can't remember the last time I saw a Loco built with barstock. There are too many newer ways to make them now. Waterjet, flamecut, CNC, The list is endless. All are better then built up type. The price of having them made for you is well worth it, if you can't do them yourself. They will be more a...
