I double checked that it is Utah soft coal. I will try it and see what happens, the pacific will eat almost anything you put in it LoL. Like I said the price was higher the Penn coal but the shipping is about half. If it works well I may get local guys together and by a skid of it that should lower ...

I just bought 2 50lb bags of nut home heating coal from lazzari. They were 17.25 a bag plus 23 shipping to vegas. That is a little more then penn coal per bag but the shipping was much less. I will let everyone know how it burns. May be a good option for those of us on the west coast.

Well after two successful trips down to Maricopa Live Steamers down in Phoenix Jesse and I decided that we would tackle the damaged flange on the lead fireman’s driver. Thank you for the welcome. I always seem to get the fixer-uppers here is a video of my other steamer, a Winton Mogul built by the late Harry Dixon.
