Before I go though the trouble of making some does anyone have castings for 3/16" and 1/4" Barco flex joints?

Here is a list of valve sizes used by the C&NW Railroad.

The washout plugs have a thimble that fits around the fittings to dress up the jacket edge. I have the drawings for the thimbles. I think I found drawings for the Huron fittings. The live steam detail parts are an assembly of the washout plug and thimble. BTW I have drawings for 6 different thimbles...

Hi All

I know that scale wash out plugs are available. I have a Prime drawing that indicates that there are 2 sizes if not more. 2-3/4" and 2-1/4".

Does someone make both sizes?

I would install tires on both wheels.

Machine the wheel for a steel tire. 0.001” per inch diameter plus 0.001” shrink fit. The axle will close up about 0.0002” to 0.0003” of an inch. Cast iron is very strong in compression.

I have 1.5 scale castings for USRA car parts. The brake wheel is 2” in diameter and should be appropriate for all USRA freight cars. The push pole pockets are for the USRA single sheathed boxcars. The push pole pockets are $90 for a set of 4. Brake wheels are $22.00 each. Small orders that fit in a ...

My next casting will be for a USRA hopper car push pole pocket. These will work on either side of the car.
