I'm not going to hijack the thread but talking about third rail and overhead wires..... Since most of the electrics run at 48v, would it still be a safety issue using a low voltage? I suppose the current is what is actually going to be an issue.... FYI, don't yell at me about this, I am just simply ...

I don't know why you couldn't use two identical controllers, one in each engine. Use a dual pot, whatever resistance is required, and run either one cable to the head that will feed both pots, shut offs, etc., or use two seperate cables to go to each engine. Just last night, I was watching do they do it and they were at an US freight yard with a hump. They started of calling the freight cars.... "carriages"..... been ok if they were in Europe!! no offense to our oversea members :-) HA! FredR - on some of their episodes I couldn't agree more! M...
