Re: Disney's Live Steam RR

Great video you found, another guy posted the same video but that only featured the Live Steam Portion with the wrong audio and sound. But, looking at this, this is one of my inspirations to get involved in the live steam hobby. Here's a bit of information on each segment: Ollie Johnston Ollie's bac...

Re: a live steamers ideal locomotive to model

Aside from my dream engine of an 4-8-4, I love the the RRSC 2-8-2 as well and it would be cool to Pull off a Model of Grand Canyon 4960. The gear is pretty close to the 4960 and all you really need is to build the Tender that the 4960 carries, and pull something for the trucks, but I would be great ...

Re: a live steamers ideal locomotive to model

Oh BTW, the LALS 3100 is slowly being rebuilt. Chris Wow that's awesome!! :) When was the last time Peter was down at LALS? I hope he and his train will make an appearance at next year's Spring Meet, his 4-8-4 is my dream locomotive one day. I heard that Bruno Platzer was working on the NKP Berkshi...

Re: a live steamers ideal locomotive to model

My first live steam expierience was at LALS when I was about 7. Some of the first steam locomotives I've ridden behind has been Lew's Santa Fe 5011, Peter Nott's 2925 and even the old LALS Club Owned LE 4-6-2 Union Pacific 3100. But the locomotive I would love to build is a 4-8-4, I loved riding beh...

Re: Wanted: West Valley baby 2-8-0 consolidation

These WV Baby 2-8-0 are a dime a dozen, and Eber has a great find on his hand!! Hey, If Bill welded all the boilers for the WVCs, did Bill ever build one for himself? What's the History on the Prototype? Thanks!! Keep on Steamin my Friend!!

Re: Chippewa Northwestern 4450

Its looking Great Matt!! I heard from John DeR. or Chris M. at LALS that they were recieving riding cars from Chippewa Northwestern but haven't seen anything down there, but yours seems shorter than the ones over there CNW (no pun intended ... Lol). How long is your version going to be? Thanks. Keep...

BTW, we finally located an unfinished west valley engine and acquired it, so we no longer are looking for one. Thanks for the interest.

Re: 1" vs. 3/4" Scale Considerations

Matt, I found this on the LALS Website. Here is what appears to be Peter Mosely on 1" Scale 0-6-0 and father looking on. This has been my inspiration to go 1" Scale and I agree with Matt on the fact that 1" is magical and there is a certain something that gives 1" its uniqueness....
