Lifting transfer table.
I've built several hydraulic system that will go as high as six feet and need to build three more. The hydraulic system prices are as you know high. How about some pictures of some screw powered or even some I have seen winch powered. Email is nickersonvance@gmail.com

Re: 1.5" Scale Boiler Manufacturers
Bob Dean and Vance nickerson could also be potential boiler sources. I just finished up a couple mikado boilers and continue to build on the side. Being a Union Pacific RR engineer keeps my shop time very unsteady. Giving a quote is next to impossible with the market all over the place for material...

Re: Bagley burner too hot.
Like to have a spare laying around never know what locomotive is going to come in my shop for rebuilding. C-16 issue is finding a good coal supplier. Only need a few bags to test it out and will probably get some off the discover live steam site. It did cross my mind and if i were going to keep it t...

Re: Low water mark
Get some clear tubing from the hardware store and fill it with water. Holding it to the bottom of the crown sheet and up the backhead mark the level and add one inch assuming the sheet is half in thick. If you're oil firing look into a better dry pipe fed from the steam dome. If the boiler is built ...

Re: Oil burning boiler mods
Backhead view of the Pacific. I install dry pipes on my boilers whether coal or oil firing for the turret to help with the atomizer getting as dry steam as possible. I use a high temperature rated stainless ball valve for smoke box installations. Never attach the sight glass to the turret. And yes i...

Re: Run out of steam pressure after 100 feet
If your firebox looks like this give up and get a new boiler. My third boiler this year with the same problem. Wouldn't maintain steam and passed the hydro test. Look inside the blow down holes or steam dome and I'll guess it's never had a boiler wash. When a customer says they run out of steam fast...
