I picked this collet cup chuck up with some other things at an auction. It fits a spindle with 1x10 threads. It’s unmarked, any idea who made it. Just looking for info on it.. I may sell it as I don’t have a machine that it fits.

Re: Powder spray welding
Cleaning the torch up I found that it is a rebranded Victor, and I and checked it and it will take the Victor bottles. So with a little more cleaning, some new o-rings, and I should be good to go building up worn shafts and other items.

Re: Estate Sale: Rail
That’s not rail, but it makes a good substitute. The metal is used for spacing and holding metal roofs. The giveaway is the step in the base. As far as I know it’s common mild steel but it should work good for most home tracks. I don’t think that I would use it on a commercial or club track because ...

Re: Powder spray welding
I have found a little additional information. Cabot registered the Stellite brand name for torches and copyrighted a manual for it in 1977. Now to find a copy of that manual!

Powder spray welding
I picked up a Stellite brand powder spray torch sold by the Cabot corporation. This is an ox acetylene torch. I am looking for a manual for it and any other information about it that I can get. Have any of you heard of or used this brand. Any idea who made it for Cabot?

Files
I picked these files up at a flea market last year. They must be for something special, as they have tapered sides and teeth only on the one side. They are course, medium and fine cut. They are about 8.5 inches long and 11/16 wide. I don’t need a special job to use them, they would work nice in corn...

Re: Most Dangerous Machine
Of course there are the ones you see at old tractor shows made out of an old large steel wheel with a wedge fastened to it. No brake, seldom a clutch, they just keep spinning until shut off. Yes some shows demonstrate them, but there is NO room for mistakes.

Nice video, I haven’t got to see the 150, but I saw a demonstration of the wheel riveting and have met Kory.

Drill Hog drills
I was thinking of getting some left hand drills for bolt removal and was wondering if any of you had used the Drill Hog brand. They say the company is in the USA but they don’t say that the drills are made here. But then some import items are good. How are these?

Sandvik milling insert numbers
It seems that the ANSI and the ISO use sandvik’s numbers rather than a universal system. I’m a novice home machinist and picked up a Sandvik insert milling cutter. What I found out is that it takes a 390-11 insert, But how do I find other brand inserts that fit, and how to tell if an insert would fi...

encourage 6" rotary table
I bought a used Emco 6 inch rotary table that also has small dividing plates and a sector so it can function like a dividing head. It's a 40:1 ratio so I can use it ok, but I would like to get copy of the manual for it. I can't find a model number on it, can't even find a picture of it on the intern...
