Fix the Oven ?

Just wondering something : the other day the bottom heating element in the electric oven burnt through . Wonder if I could fix it by welding or maybe silver sodier . The name brand is HotPoint . Anyone tried this ?
I already know that I could purchase a new element ...

The steel wool can also be used to take down the sheen of bluing on metal , but also the finish of gunstocks . Yes , some people think their guns are too shiny ... but the customer is always wright . :roll:

When you cleaned the bolt , Did you seperate it from the bolt carrier ? Do you have access to one of those little ultrasonic cleaners or if your wife has two jewelery cleaners .....

Was turning down some 3" dia steel tube , 5/16" wall . Used a live bullnose , tailstock held fine .

I'm content to keep the tailstock modification in place . On to the next project ...

Metric thread M60 ?

I am looking a telescope piece for sale the owner says that it is an M60 thread on it .
Would that equate to .6 on a metric thread pitch gauge ? Not sure on the metric term M60 ...
