Re: In hopes of a build log, one day...

The funny thing is that I'm actually trying to get and stay uncluttered and organized. That's why I put the pegboard up a while back. I just haven't gotten used to looking for stuff in the new places yet. I do appreciate the ideas I've read from others. I'm still in the position of having too much s...

Re: In hopes of a build log, one day...

Well, I'm happy that a few of you enjoyed the humor of my situation. I had a better day today. No work at least. I just couldn't bring myself to buy another grinder, as easy as that would have been, I would have seen it as a failure. So I made another loop around the garage looking for the pin wrenc...

In hopes of a build log, one day...

Sorry, I just feel the need to vent and hope some of you find humor or a sense of camaraderie in this post. I've often considered starting a build log for one or two of the several projects that I'm working on, but I haven't because I think that I already spend too much time on the computer instead ...

Re: RR Coupler for Trailer hitch?

FYI... I got one a few years ago as a gift. It's really cute & funny the first few times you walk back to the truck in a parking lot and see it back there. Not so funny the few times you don't see it and walk around the back of the truck a little too closely.

Re: 1.5" Scale Ride Astride Passenger Car Kits

I'm considering ordering one or two of these cars but have a few questions. You mention no welding. Does that mean that there is some type of bolster plate included/built into the kit? Can you post a picture of the bottom of car showing how/where the trucks attach? I like using Tom Bee trucks. Will ...

Re: How to drill and ream a large-ish hole with drill press.

Matt,
Not sure it will help you or not, but I once wanted to turn my drill press very slowly. I took the drive belt off and ran the spindle with a socket on the end of my VSR cordless drill. Worked great for what I wanted to do.

I'm curious about the clearance above the railhead under the drop section.

Re: Handrail Stanchions?

How about using something like these Rod End Bolt Blanks from McMaster-Carr 6065K171. You can drill & thread them to your liking.

Re: Engine not selling # 2

Don't take it personally. I've been looking at it and would love to give it a new home, and I wouldn't even try to talk you down on the price. Problem is with a wife and kids and the recent giving season, I've had to pay penance for a years worth of toy and tool buying by getting them them some nice...
