Re: Train brakes for the little Mogul

Clippard has a bigger plastic tank as well, AVT-PP-35. This one's fairly inexpensive, has push-connect fittings built in. Rated 125psi.

As to compressors, I wonder how well an automotive air ride compressor would work? I'd expect it to be longer-lasting and quieter than a tire inflator.

Yep, I saw this on garagejournal... my garage/shop fire extinguisher is one of the recalled ones. New one's on the way.

Not completely. RWD has made a bit of a comeback in some segments, and AWD stuff is a lot more common than it once was.

Looking forward to it... I'm planning to start building one of these in the not too distant future (gathering parts now).

Re: I am OK And back on track

As for me I have been dealing with an attack of gout which is very painful and has affected both hands. I feel your pain! I guess I'm fortunate in that mine has stayed in one toe so far and is somewhat manageable with anti-inflammatory meds. However the first time it happened I had to have a steroi...

Re: Small Scales Injector - PRODUCT ANOUNCEMENT

Would this be capable of feeding something the size of an Allen Mogul (when a second larger injector also exists on the engine)? The idea being to let one smaller injector handle water delivery most of the time, larger one for backup or for just topping off during higher demand. The one engine I've ...

Re: Finally Got to Shoot on my Own Land

That's the best way to shoot and I wish I was still a bit more rural so I could do the same. No hourly range fees to worry about, no trying to haul everything you need all at once (need more ammo? run back in the house and grab it!).

Re: New Waterjet Loco frames.

I'd like a Mogul 2-6-0 frame, one set.

Re: Still Here, Irma Notwithstanding

Always wondered why when a disaster is coming, that there is a run on bread, eggs and milk at the grocery store? Everyone sets around and makes French toast? :) That has always baffled me, even though I am in the south where the mere mention of the S-word in a winter weather forecast results in the...

Unistrut-style lathe tool holder rack

I built a lathe tool storage rack out of some unistrut, angle brackets, and angle aluminum. Cut the aluminum to length, mill a bevel on one leg, drill the other leg, bolt it all together. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-IxKqXMElLtcXhBeVBDbm5iV2M/view?usp=sharing Just need to mount it to the wall ...
