Re: Injector
Any suction leak is trouble and the suction leak may only happen under some conditions. When I was building injectors I ran into an extremely exasperating problem. My injectors would lift without any problem. When they went from lifting water into the injector to actually trying to fill the boiler, ...

Re: Seeking Ed Perry
I spoke to Mr. Perry late last fall, he said he was recovering from a broken leg. I have not tried to contact him since then.
Ed is not a young man. I hope he is alright.

Re: South Bend heavy 10
South Bend made a sleeve that fit the spindle taper and had an internal #2 Morse taper that would allow you to use a conventional #2 center, or any drill, reamer, etc that had a morse #2 taper. I think they also made a sleeve that had a Morse #3 taper. That sleeve fit most South Bend lathes from a 1...

Re: Seeking Info on Penberthy Injector 1/2" AA 21
An email exchange with a company that represents Penberthy indicates that Penberthy is still in business. I am trying to confirm that Penberthy still make injectors. From the experience that a friend who works for a tourist rail road, Penberthy can make an injector. Penberthy can not necessarily mak...

Re: Seeking Info on Penberthy Injector 1/2" AA 21
Most interesting! Penberthy made other steam related products besides injectors. Great management thinking, first spend money to purchase a company. Then spend more money to relocate the company. Then close the company. Another example of rectile cranial inversion. This is what MBA's are paid well t...

Re: Seeking Info on Penberthy Injector 1/2" AA 21

A Penberthy AA 21 is a standard injector designed to work on boiler pressure from 80 -250 PSI. Penberthy injectors were made in three different pressure ranges. Each pres...

Re: Electrical Wiring DOES Degrade with Time
Pigmentation of the rubber can affect the life of rubber insulation. I have examples of SO wire where some insulation would fail under the rubber jacket. Other conductors were still like new. I have a very old, maybe ancient Mall Saw maybe sixty years old. The power cord is perfect. Maybe there are ...
