Yes....3.5 mm is .137 inches........1.5 scale divided by ,.137 gives you a conversion factor of about 10 7/8......couldn't wrap my head around it.....but I got it now

I believe it is 1/87.....or 3.5 mm to the foot. H.o. is probably the most popular of the model railroad scales

Valve gear question

I'm wanting to use the Baker valve gear on a 3/4 scale engine, that is cranked to the second driver...on a 3/4 locomotive I want to build, but move it to the 3rd driver.....this lengthens the main rod, and changes the angularity of the eccentric rod. Not sure if that will work, or if valve gear rede...

Watch videos by "Kelly coffield".....he molds by just pouring bagged sand around the foam, and vibrating it with a concrete vibrator. Seems to make pretty nice castings,...

The videos I watch, shows guys just using bagged, sand from home Depot being poured around there foam pattern, and vibrated with a concrete vibrator. No special sand ...no co2 ...how does the molten aluminum, keep from washing the mold apart ???

Lost foam casting

I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube on lost foam casting, and I'm confused ?....without ramming the sand around a pattern as you would in a green sand mold, how does the sand mold keep from getting washed away as the aluminum is poured in, and the foam is burnt out without it being rammed ...

Only person I ever seen oxy-acetylene weld was Mr.T ..on the A-Team.......don't even think about it on a boiler
