Re: Another Injector Piping Question
The delivery line can be shared with other water inputs, but it must have its own check valve to prevent the output of other feeds interfering with the injector's operation. You also don't want the injector feeding back into other sources. It's best practice to have an injector's inputs and outputs ...

Re: 3/4" Scale J1e
Jack,
I apologize if I missed the information, but what are the overall dimensions of your brake cylinder casting? I may need one for the 3/4" pacific.

Re: Another plumbing question
A standard globe valve will work more than fine. The idea that steam needs to be blasted into an injector for it to work best is nothing more than a myth. We're spoiled that these miniature injectors are able to work with a blast of steam at all. Most, including full sized, don't.

1.6” Scale “LEACH” Sander Fittings
I am making a very limited run of early style “Leach” sander fittings in 1.6” scale (1:7.5). These were found on some locomotives built in the late 1800’s. They will be $40 for a pair, machined with 7/32”-40 internal threads. A bit of an odd size, but this represents 1.25” pipe in 1.6” scale. I will...

Jack, I can hardly wait to see what you do with this engine! Memories of finding that chassis came to me every time I walked through the consignment tables at Cabin Fever last weekend. Looking forward to posing #5544 next to #4683, and I'm glad to see your personal projects getting some TLC. Anthony

Re: Intermediate Injectors in stock
Also, I get a lot of compliments on the quality of these castings. Part of the reason they are so nice is that they’re not castings! All of the EE line injectors are machined from solid aluminum bronze. This gives me full control over quality and supply. I have TWO injectors that showcase the “raw” ...

Re: New Injector Nozzles for SP #18
Thank you all for the kind words. Robert, I also was surprised to learn that 18 had #9’s. To properly fire the engine depends on the injector being able to trim back. Thinking out loud here... I imagine they wouldn’t be as oversized for the larger 4-6-0’s that ran the route. Perhaps it had 9’s just ...
