Re: Trying steam

They are correctly designed and are a joy to machine and build! You will learn a lot building one. They can also be scaled up to any size you want....

Re: Finish Tapping Boiler Bushes

Hi Guys, Yes, I think I am mostly not going to worry about it. I have all of the bushes now tapped and the blanking plugs installed. I've done a low pressure hydro test and am already discovering a few leaks! Already fluxed, reheated, silver soldered, and back into the pickle tank. Hopefully the reh...

Finish Tapping Boiler Bushes

I'm getting close to finishing my boiler. It is copper with bronze bushings for the fittings. I have partially threaded the bushes before silver soldering them into place. It was recommended to finish threading them after all the heating was done in order to not possibly damage the threads while hea...

Re: Romulus build

Thanks for posting the video. It seemed strange that the video was mostly of the blast pipes and the top of the valve chests. A still photo would have been good enough for that. You might consider, for a moving picture video, more shots of the valve gear from the side.

Re: Martin Evans'

I stand corrected, locomotives are trains, by specific definition used on real railroads. Any locomotive parts, are also train parts.

Reeves has them all:

You will have to ask if they will sell less than a full set.
