I would be interested in about 4 to 12 of them if price was reasonable. Also, would they be cast in color or would they be paintable?

Re: Chained to a metric sprocket!
Thanks for the info and ideas guys, I think I have it figured out. I found a solution to the metric shaft problem in a round-about inch size way. Martin Sprockets sells a taper lock sprocket bushing in inch size .787". Tada, 20mm without going metric. And Chooch, I'm frugal (broke in my case) t...

Re: Chained to a metric sprocket!
Thanks for the ideas Big Dave. I guess that's what I'll have to do. Just seemed odd to me that nobody makes one.

Chained to a metric sprocket!
Hello All, So I'm just getting started in the live steam/ride-on hobby and I'm on a very limited budget. I'm building a battery powered Goose type thing for my first loco and I have a couple of questions regarding my drive system. I have the guts out of an electric wheelchair (2 24vdc motors with an...

Re: What I got for Christmas
Thanks all for the encouragement. I'm looking forward to getting started but want to educate myself before spending big bucks on machines. I really want to build something in 7.5" but will probably start with something not as complicated as the Heisler as someone has suggested.

Re: What I got for Christmas
Hello all, I'm new to the forum because I got Kozo's Heisler book. I have no experience machining and almost no budget for tools and material. Talk about optimistic! I'm going through all the old posts and really appreciate finding all the info. Looking forward to planning and equipping my home shop...

Re: 8 Years to start a Heisler
Andrew, I'm looking forward to following your progress. I just joined the forum because I received Kozo's Heisler book as a gift. Never done any machine work but excited to learn. Always enjoyed steam trains and can't wait to build my own. I've been contemplating building a battery or gas powered lo...
