I had the points burn up on my mill and since they had sent another complete unit in 220vac with the mill I just swapped out the coil and was good to go with out having to rewire. But next time that may be the answer.

Its a Stevens Tip up rifle .22 caliber in 90% other than the push button is missing.

"I think" I have sorted it out, My lathe won't cut 30 tpi according to the quick change. I might be able to work the change gears around to make it but it would be a major hassle. Since someone had buggered up the first half with an 8-32 nut I may have to just recut to that thread and live...

I have an antique rifle that I need to make a nut for, the thread on the existing screw measures .158 major diameter 30 tpi. My Machinist handbook does not show the thread. made valve springs out of round solder and paint them black and slip them in to the mix. Another was wait until the guy had the engine all bolted up and slip in a set of new rod bearings on the bench, I have seen engines disassembled on account of that.
