Penn Live Steam Photos

There are several photos listed on eBay reportedly taken in Pennsylvania in the 1960's. Can anyone identify the people, places and year? https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-LIVE-STEAM-Locomotive-Scale-Train-Photos-in-Pennsylvania-1960-s-Steamers-A1-/133914481078?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m254...

Re: Please post your thoughts

I would like to see a forum on turnout construction. It would help me personally, as I have started a home railroad and have immediate need to build several turnouts. I'm open to storing files on the IBLS website, but they are always related to articles in the IBLS "wiki". Otherwise there ...

Re: Looking for prints for the "Doc Fixit" loco

Just wanted to follow up on Edward's original question, if anyone has a set of Barto's prints for the 1 inch scale Southern Atlantic A-6 drawings.

Re: Need a Quiet 12v Air compressor

How about the air compressor from a Lincoln Town Car. They used it to inflate the ride cushion bladders. Very quiet. I found one used on eBay.

Live Steam Parts Supplier - GL Huyett

I was just made aware of GL Huyett, an on-line seller of many of the parts required when building live steam equipment, such as rivets, key stock, drill rod, taper pins, etc.

D.A. Butler SP 3000 Atlantic Book

I saw an advertisement in "Live Steam" magazine, May 1991, page 46, promoting a book by D.A. Butler, entitled, "Building the Atlantic 442 SP 3000 Class".

Does anyone have a copy of this book?

Re: 1/2'' scale drawings

Does anyone have any information regarding castings or drawings of Lawrence Murphy? He advertised a set of castings and drawings under the company name "Rialto Models" in The Modelmaker in October and December 1928.
