He wrote in the first instalment:

The prototype is Japanese C53 type heavy pacific locomotive with three cylinders. To return the project, it will be 1/8.4 scale model on 5 inch track gauge.

Hi, The Stanier pacifics are normal simple expansion locomotives.The clearance gauge for English railways did not permit using 2 cylinder locomotives for high power outputs. Balson AG was founded by the late Charles Ball and his son Charles. This firm is well known for high quality models.

The steam activities of the SLM were taken over by the DLM AG.You can find more information by making a google search "DLM AG".
