Still not sure what your problem is. Are you drawing a hole or extruding a circle to create a hole?

I attempted to post a model or an stp file or a dxf but the forum only allows certain file types.

It's done by inserting a plane, then sketching a rectangle on that plane and extruding a cut to create the flat - then mirroring the extrusion (assuming you want them identical) to create the other flat.





What is it about the drawings and pdfs you don't like?

I have smoothsteppers on both my mill and CNC router. On the Mill I used the USB version and on the router the ethernet version. While both work perfectly, the usb version requires more care in layout of the cabling in your installation because it is much more prone to fail due to electrical noise. ...

Yes it does work. I have produced patterns in ABS and had them successfully cast. The best results though were obtained from 3d prints outsourced to a company that produces them using a different process and generates a much nicer finish.
