Thanks Bill for the third supplier. Looks good in the picture, may give it a try even though it's more expensive. (it's not a race to the bottom with price, I want it to work and not leak down the road) Most engines I have seen and fired have one blowdown, a few have two, one on each side. Is one su...

Blowdown valve suppliers

Was thinking of picking up a railroad warehouse (livesteam.com) blowdown or two, anyone have any comments good or bad, and also any comments compared to the locoparts blowdown valve? Any others that should be looked at? (it's for a Chloe, 1 1/2" scale valves are appropriate for it) They're inex...

Looks like a Kozo Heisler...well done...not too much farther to go on the details, I only see a couple of things missing. Ed Hume and I recently visited Kozo and he had just repainted the Heisler...I took some photos, in here: http://www.mojaveserver.info/gallery/main.php/v/harlock/kozo_hiraoka/ Che...

neat. You always see burglers in movies using the portable glass circle cutter to get in. :) Of course they are cutting 'glass' made out of sugar.

Hi Harlock, Truth is, I actually knew that some time ago. Have you seen the Central Islip State Hospital A3 photos: http://arrts-arrchives.com/sthosp3.html Yes, did find that a few years ago. They are a good record. I wonder if the penn state archive has any more photos. While you're looking for pl...

You'll be surprised to find out that the prototype has different valve gear :)

But as a general question, it would be nice to know if plans for Pennsy locomotives in general are preserved or are most of them gone.

Love the natural wood look. Question about the motor oil treatment...when you wipe it away, does the wood dry so it doesn't come off on your clothes and what not?

I'll have to try that on my riding tender.
