It's funny. Bruce was just up here in New Hampshire running my train about 3 months ago. When I saw the show I thought, "Why does this guy look familiar?", until I saw the name caption at the bottom. Someone should post the 3 minute spot on utube for those who missed it. - Or just buy the ...

David: Well I have to say "hats off" for attempting such a venture. (no pun intended) I'm with you when it comes to trying something at least once. But a whole week? Just figure what that part cost if you don't chalk it up to education. I think I would have started with a 5" cast pipe...

You can also secure it with split shaft collars. I originally
did that but found it to be not needed.

This one is for the lubricator so it doesn't need alot of
rise.

Brian:

Northern tool has one similar, maybe a little sturdier for about $140
that looks like just what I need.

Trouble is... they want $100 to ship it. How can I win this one?

David:

It's very nice.

But I need one that can carry the locomotive and be able
to lower it to track level and I haven't found anything I like
yet.

Very nice. It's good to see those steamers under

Thanks for posting the video.

...I almost never use coolant/lubricant on any material
including cast iron. But then again I am never in a hurry.
Coolants and lubricants are great for production volumes
and very hard materials. Cast iron is not.
