So as with my other post on VFD'S sounds like you would need two static converters also so you do no over load the table feed motor during start up. Thanks for all the replys.

I am still debating and reviewing previous post on wether to go with Rotary, Static or VFD. I believe if I could find a 3 phase motor i would go with rotary converter but i havent had much luck in finding one. On the static phase converters if you get one sized to run the main motor(3hp) is there a problem on the table feed motor(.33hp)? Is there two needed one for each.

Had a piece of 5" mild steel bored out in the center to 3". At higher speeds alot of chatter so I slowed it down and it climbed the tool and broke the tool. So i went both directions with the speed and could see the same result coming and stopped before hand. It is a HSS 1/8" parting ...
