Hello All,
looking for an ASME certified Kunkle Safety Valve, 1/2” inlet, model 1 top venting outlet, set to 130 or 135 PSI.
Also need a 3/4” Safety Valve for a 14” boiler, top venting model, set to 130 PSI.
Thanks,
Glenn

Two 14” gauge Wagner steam locomotives in Maine
https://ocala.craigslist.org/for/d/41-t ... 88895.html
Not mine, and no association with the seller. But thought I would repost the Craig’s list posting, in the event anyone would like to follow up regarding these legendary, old time, Wagner design steam locomotives.

Re: Show your Park Gauge train
These two 1940’s era Wagner’s just showed up on Craig’s List in Florida. 14” gauge, and reportedly in storage since the late 1980’s. Asking $98k,with one mile of track. Very interesting to see these classic, old time steam locomotives still surviving, and apparently stored in decent condition. https:...

Re: 12" working railroad
FYI, some guy on Facebook is making and selling printed scale gladhands for air rake connections. They are cheap, as in a few bucks each, and apparently work very well. Also are prototypical looking. I think he makes them in 2.5” scale also.

Re: index head
Richard, that looks like a good fit for the DH. Might be useful also on a Rotab. I haven’t yet quite figured out who if anyone sells a mounting plate for my RT. At some point soon I need to figure this out, as I’ve got a couple of key parts to make...

Re: index head
Yes, please let us know your review of this DH when you get it. I am particularly interested in their 5” chuck, as I bought a BS #0 from a grizzly a year ago and STILL don’t have a chuck for it. (Note: why would they sell something like that and not carry a chuck for it????)

Re: Woodinville Shops
Ryan, Thanks, I welded them on. Considered rivets and also bolts, but the framing and gear to hang them at the right height pretty much dictated a weldment. I did add some prototypical reinforcing detail - scale channel, welded vertically on the new end plate, and gussets inside the end plate, runni...

Re: Hazardous metal dust?
Aluminium dust is highly flammable, almost explosive in large quantities. Manufacturing facilities sometimes have very sophisticated Aluminium dust collection and disposal capability to prevent ignition. But we would likely never see such volume in a hobby setting. Years ago there was a good deal of...

Re: Electric wheelchair motors
Can you place several motors in series, all driving one jackshaft, such as Harlock described? I wonder if they operate at slightly different speeds, would that be a problem?? The particular Loco I am interested in has all the drivers on each side connected together with side rods, that in turn are d...

Re: Electric wheelchair motors
Thanks Harlock, very good info. I appreciate the background on your build also.
This gives me a very good source for motors - something to orient my build around.

Re: Electric wheelchair motors
At Victoria, where this blue 0-6-0 operates, the ruling grade is slightly over 2%. My grades are all around 1%... The interesting thing about this 0-6-0 is that all the drivers are connected with side rods, that lead back to a fourth axle with a flywheel only, (no wheel) under the cab. The forth axl...
