Re: Boiler welding advice.

I probably have 100 pictures of the process, that said, feel free to cut and prep flue sheets (drill but do not ream until af...

Re: Steam Dome Ball Valve Throttle

my 2.993 cents, I have a 1/4 ball valve inside the dome of the build i built for my pacific conversion. so far it seems to work well ootb. the linkage is setup for fine control. the truth of the matter, at WOT (in the cab) the ball valve is about 1/2 open, more then enough volume to feed the 2x3.25 ...

Re: Blind driver

Or is it an optical malclusion -> it just looks that way because the flange is missing? No, it states, and shows in the video, that it is added to the inside.... I mean it can be a little bit each way, stop and thinking about where the rail run on flanged wheels, pretty close to the fillet of the f...

Re: Blind driver

to add to how i setup my locomotive,
this was shared with me about 10 years ago out of an old engineering book,
i wish i had the book so i had more details. but this is the lay out i used 10 years ago.
Notice the centerline, the width and the thread profile.
