Re: Full Penetration - Integral Backing Strip - V-Groove Wel

Re: Removing metal chips from fingers

I often get so driven by pain-mad when I get a chip in my fingers...I BITE"M OUT! Yep, I rinse my hand off and start nibleing the dead skin away till I hit solid metal, about a 50% suck-cess rate. If that don't get it, it's get out the needle and tweszers time. A good practice is to shop-vac up...

Re: Boring on a mill-drill

Yes, I have bored on my HF mill drill. You may need to tighten the small lock screw on the left side of the quill head to get a more stiff-smooth-backlash free quill travel for boring. While on the subject of mill drill quill feed...My HF mill/drill quill feed dial was only "poorly' locked to i...

Re: Arc Welding Rod Question..

Re: R-8 end mill holders vs collets

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all.... if I may add, I learned from the old timers when I worked in the tool room many year ago... If you use a collet to hold an end mill or drill [for plunge drilling a hole or milling a slot]It will run more true than a holder or chuck and hole or slot will be "clo...
