Re: WTB - Liittle Engines 1" Scale 040/060 Drawings

I have several extra copies of original LE prints kicking around the shop that are looking for a new home.

Send me a PM and we'll work something out.

Selecting motors for electric loco

Hi Everyone, I've decided I need a better, more reliable electric engine for 1" scale to take around and pitter patter with. I've found a nice build article and think I will go that route. That being said, I need to find some compact motors that would be ideal for 1" scale. Anyone have any...

Re: Identification

It sounds like you're trying to find something commercially available in 5" gauge? If so, check out Friends Models - they offer a ten wheeler, modeled after B&O prototype. Better than the alternative offerings out there which is, well, nothing. It is in 4-3/4" gauge, but I'm sure with ...

Re: little engines pacific drawings

I have several sets of hard copies of blueprints for the 1" LE Atlantic/Pacific that I would sell for a reasonable price.

Let me know if you are interested in a set (or more).

Re: LE 1 inch scale 060 Rebuild

I agree with the above. If you can, replace the boiler. I'm currently working on a copper boiler without cast components, and let me tell ya, that is a royal pain... I am so stoked to start working on a new build copper boiler after that!

Re: A good reliable injector for inch & half scale that works ????

Well, the steam pump adds a cool feature that is alive, separate from the engine itself. I look forward to hearing my pump klunking away :) I won't put on an axle pump - in fact, I disassembled mine because I plan to have two guns and a steam pump on mine. Might have an electric pump in the riding c...

Re: Little Engines 2.5" Scale Air Pump

Yes, the CA Street and Sons prints are what I am working from. There is one additional print (minimum) that is for the water pump conversion. That is by a different vendor. That being said, in APMs post, he says he has made modifications so his print might be of his modified version. I have a few pr...

Re: Little Engines 2.5" Scale Air Pump

Hi Jim I've been slowly plugging away at mine. I have the glands made up, still needs the internal grooves machined. I also modeled the pump in 3D and that greatly helped me visualize how to machine this contraption! I was having a hard time until I started to 3D model it and it all made sense how t...

Gauging interest... Copper Tube

Hi Folks I'm working on possibly acquiring some 6" Dia Type L copper tubing for some boiler projects. I thought I would throw up a post to see if anyone is interested in going in on a piece of tube. I could acquire and cut, and package for distribution. If interested, let me know. Not sure on t...

Re: Question to Builders

I wanted to build some stock cars in 1" scale. What is stopping me is the lack of availability of Z shape.

It's on the back burner as I have other projects in mind... But if it was available when I needed, then....

Re: Silver soldering torches

I have the same torch for propane - however I don't trust that torch for working in pinpoint areas, especially in the firebox... Which is why i'm trying to get set up for oxy acetylene with the smaller victor torches i was given.
