I am also guilty of firing a 1" Pacific with no water in it. The gauge went to 100 real quick and then promptly went to zero. Not being a rocket scientist I quickly figured out what I had done. Iv'e never repeated this blunder but it could happen again as I get older. HA! HA!

MIke he has promised me that he will get the high track done at GGLS for our high track small scale meet in September. Is too bad that he has to work for a living. He would be full time in his shop with projects.

I can assure you his (Robs) smile was as wide as his locomotive and rightly so. This engine ran flawlesley . Max was really upset when Rob and Erin left to go out for a spin. When he heard the awsume whistle on this ride he couldn't wait to get back to the yards so he could ride again. I can hardly ...

2 1/2"gauge

The Golden Gate live steamers still has 2 1/2" gauge track in operation. It's true that most engines that ran on it are sitting on a mantel or in storage but once in awhile we have one show up to run. Later this year we plan to host a small scale meet put on by Matt Mason. I plan on having my n...

Harry Dixons 4-4-0 Disney engine

Back in the 70's i restored Harry Dixons 4-4-0 at my house by Santa Cruz Cal. I got to run it at the GGLS track one time before returning it home to his widow. A week ago I purchased this engine along with 3 other engines Harry built . The Dixie Belle 4-4-0 is now residing in Washington State. The b...
