Re: Gene Allen Locomotive's Popularity

Mike the woodwards engine is a Jim Lesovsky creation. Jim gave bob all of his toys when he moved. Bob is a pipefitter and is not setup to build. Bob was also given a ( I think ) a harper mogal. If there is a allen part in there I have never see it. Jim just used what he had laying around. d. Wow wh...

Re: Gene Allen Locomotive's Popularity

The only thing I think there are too many of are lawnmowers poorly disguised as train equipment. You had me totally agreeing with you up to this point. I have neither the equipment, skill or time left to build a steam loco, but I do have a great time on my disguised mower :D . Lol :-D It's true, it'...

Re: Gene Allen Locomotive's Popularity

You make a very good point Mike, with the future of Allen Models in the balance should Gene be no longer, its good to order plans and castings ahead of time. Very nice pic with yourself, Gene and Chloe. :) Chloes will last a long time, its amazing the fact he knew Ward Kimball, Kimball being a Disne...

Re: Gene Allen Locomotive's Popularity

David, I follow you... you just like variety right? Like previously mentioned, there's a number of Berks coming online and the challenger/bigboy group's going to bring several Challengers online in the next few years. As time passes it seems larger and more exotic designs are tried. One of the big ...

Gene Allen Locomotive's Popularity

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEMEATAInTw Is it just me or are there one too many Allen Models Locomotives, particulary Ten-Wheelers? Not that theres anything wrong with Allen Models is that theres a whole mess at every meet. In this video, part of 10 video series, shows a ride behind a Allen 10-Wh...

Re: 1" scale 0-6-0 chassis running on air

Whats a good boiler for this Locomtive, because Ive looked at the 2011 List for Ridge Locomotive Works and only offer a boiler for the 0-4-0, The Atlantic and Pacific. which boiler will fit best on this locomtive?

Re: Berk Photos

Tom Lawson's Berk is an insanely Awesome Detailed locomotive. I rode behind it at the LALS 2011 Spring Meet, it's needed quite a show to see it work. I really liked the detail on the Lubricator on Engineer Side, the Turret, and the Many NKP Details. Great Work Jack!! :)

Re: 3/4" Scale 0-6-0

Hello My Friends Thank you Steve for the very generous complement. I didn't have much motivation or energy yesterday so I spent most of the day with the little dog putting around in the Model T and Christmas shopping. I did manage to get out the camera an make a few new snappies of the 0-6-0 and te...
