Jim. I don't want to lead you wrong but here are some thoughts. The individual cells of the battery should be checked for both votage and spec gravity. most of these have a pry-off top where you can do this. Why this is of worth is that individual cells can be finicky during a freeze period. It was ...

Steve you could think about that . Even though the same machines from another country are available to another country, they still prefer to buy these American ones and pay that shipping. There might just be something we are not seeing here that somebody else does. i would prefer You saw it. I can't...

The usual things apply. You want a good grade that has good teeth but yet can be bent around those little wheels continuously while running. Too hard begets fractures. The best ones I've used are the Starret or Milwaukee for these saws for they have a balance. Lennox blades of correct type are great...

I think you are correct that if 12" it is #4 1/2 MT. Also the #2 MT tailstock was, let's say, well let's say it was associated with the 10" swings of the time. It shoulda been #3 and many have been corrected over time but more importantly was the whole thing corrected. Sometimes I thought ...

Thanks Jose. I entered the site and in the process of getting a catalog. I need to ask what is proper here. They seem interested in knowing how "you heard of them?". This is a very useful place. So what is true is that I heard of them via post by Jose Rivera at our site here chaski.org/hom...

That was more a simplistic weapon thing. Consider who made the chainmail, the early response to bronze edges. So 3k+ years ago prisoners or handicaped or masters of that craft worked out defences. We have machines leveled to .0001/whatever. We have the angles and tooling and can do anything but neve...

Congrats Steve. That was a very good use for a 4-flute anyway as it wasn't constricted nor required a higher speed. Looks like it fit like a glove.

Hey, uh Black Moons. I notice you didn't capitalize "America". You must be kidding if you think that some special medical thread is something...that we just make in the shop like a carburator fitting. Maybe ahead of your time as we race towards socialism but not yet.

Tim, you came to a good place. These guys and actually some gals will set you right with their knowledge. You expressed that quest for how things DO operate by the physics and principles required and like many of the new members, have a resume to prove that. i was watching "Warriors" on Hi...

The Tai variations of those days are only in retrospect so diverse. I recognise castings and things but this was set up different. One thing is that there should have been some extra gears a 127/ something which allows you that along with the labels or charts peened to it. That would be for metric. ...

Stephen what you are doing is very honorable. I would stick with it awhile. A guy posted here fairly recently about workbench height considering his chair. There are of course different configs where the disabled are actually able to drive by other controls but either way this could be a real help. ...
