" diatomaceous earth." Thats the word I was looking for. :-) I spent a while in the Chem Phys Hdbk trying to find the various vapor pressures and the only way it was listed is the temp at several pressures. So. for Acetone at one Atmosphere it's 56.5 deg while for Acetylene at the smae pre...

I built a "fixture" to do 2 flute endmills and S&D drill bits that works pretty well. It may do 4 flute but the wheels on the grinder I have available arent the best so it's "iffy". Take a look at my pictures and if you have any questions e-mail me. Web page http://home.earth...

Of course, carbide gas and acetylene (ethyne) are chemically the same thing, (C2 H2). So help me out here, are you saying then that when carbide gas (acetylene) is dissolved (generally 20:1) in Acetone (C3 H6 O) that the resulting gas, when burned in the welding process provides exactly the same spe...

If it were me, I'd use a 3/8 end mill since the slot is for 3/8 bolts the same size cutter should clear the sides . That give you a stronger cutter. Since you are going to take a pass on both sides of about 0.062 should be a peice of cake. UNLESS the material is something hard. :-) If it's cast iron...

All this WD40 bit. I have just gotten a gal of Deisel and it works just as
well as kerosene and is cheeper. Even with the terrible prices it's still
some less than Kerosene and a WAY cheeper than WD40 .
Afterall its just a tad lower on the distillation column than Kerosene.

0.004" notebook paper is WAY too thick! And, who knows what "notebook" paper really is, anyway? I have been using sheets torn out of a spiral bound notebook. One wonders, is THAT notebook paper? What if it is not? I might have to turn that crank down another thousandths or two! You d...

You have to be careful about the amount of "over travel" available or you may MASH the switch. :-) that is wy most of the limit switches are of the sensitive sort, ( Micro switch is a trade name but most electronic people refer to all of them by that name) The basic switch is normally encl...
