Re: USRA SS Boxcar in 1/8 Scale
Tim, very interesting project! I've off and on been working on drawing a 5/5/5 corrugated end in Fusion360 but haven't gotten very far.

Re: Requesting assistance for board issues
As followup, I switched my settings on the phone and saved a series of photos using the jpeg format. File sized jumped from the 2.8 MB Apple format to 4.8MB for legacy jpegs for each photo. Almost a 100% increase in file size. So far as I can tell, the three aspect ratios programmmed into the Apple...

Take all the fun out of it!
I think this has been rebuilt to be closer to your (much better) design Jack, but it was exciting while it lasted. If the engineer pops in he can describe the experience.- Tue Jun 06, 2023 3:20 pm

Re: Selling Machine Tools?
I purchased my first lathe from a 90+ year old fellow who was doing exactly this, didn't want to leave his wife with the cleanup. I had a deal for the lathe and a friend was purchasing his Bridgeport. On the appointed day we showed up to move the equipment and he said "You can have the lathe, I...

The Corvette museum in Bowling Green, KY is interesting too. It's the one that had the sinkhole.

Re: "Catherine", a USA "Sweet Pea" engine build
Congratulations Ben, it has to feel like a major step. I'm close on my loco (I have my rings installed!) but am doing some painting. I found I needed to have the reverser etc in place to hold the link blocks before setting the valves. It's always something, but eventually you get there if you keep a...

Z bracing for outside braced box and stock cars. This would be nice, it's also found horizontally acting as a seal between the roof and side sheets of covered hoppers. The stuff I've seen has about 3" flanges with a 4" web, so 0.375" x 0.500"x 0.375" would be close for 1.5&...
