I updated some photos, and started a webpage. I got the unit finished and did a New Years Day run with it to start off a great year.

Re: My first F7 build

Right now, my plan is to build primered, unpowered units as available, and sell kits of all the important parts with plans for assembly. I am a few months out from this now, but I will get a site up with pict...

Got it Painted up in Soo Line red and white last night. First time spraying autobody paint, I think I did a really nice job. Practice makes perfect, and I can get picky sometimes. Hope Connie can get me graphics in early January. I'd cut them out myself at work but I just don't have enough time righ...

Re: Electric or Hydraulic drive for VO1000
With the 6 batteries and (4) 24vdc axle mounted motors, I ran for over 12 hours on the white creek in Michigan hauling between 3 and 4 passengers and 10 cars. A good charger will recharge the unit in about 4 hours after a hard day of running. With the dual 4QD boards, it will pull up some very steep...

Thanks! here is a picture of the frame. 6 deep cycle batteries, 2-4qd boards. running master/slave so one board controls each truck. seems to take a lot of abuse without over heating, or frying the board. PRN 24vdc axle mounted motors do the driving. has phoenix sound with speakers mounted in the fu...
