Re: Live Steam article about track level cart
I just happen to have take this picture from an article in live steam. Can verify the issue as I'd have to find that box of magazines again! It was issues from 1966-1979 so it could very well be the 1976 article.

Re: Custom Lost Wax Castings - CAD Model to Bronze or Alumin
The MadeSolid firecast resin is being tested on these printers, but I have a B9Creator Printer and use their resins, all of which are specifically designed for lost wax burn outs. So have have been pretty happy with them, however it is not without some finesse on the final curing and post processing...

Custom Lost Wax Castings - CAD Model to Bronze or Aluminum
Hello All, I recently did some Journal Box castings and wanted to show a few pictures. These were no longer available/unknown boxed for some trucks and 4 more were needed to match the other zinc/aluminum castings. I used models provided to direct print the resin parts for burnout and casting. I've p...

Re: 2.5 Scale EBT Mikado
I'll be beginning to build #17 in 1.5" scale for 4 3/4" track soon. Been working on CAD for a while now. You don't need to have the drawings to make it happen, but it would certainly not hurt. Seems doubtful to get copies but you never know. 12 in 2.5" scale would be a great engine to...

Re: Drivers, Ductile or Cast Iron?
I recall someone mentioning the axle and/or crank pin moving a small amount with tiring a driver. If I recall it may have been Jack Bodenmann in his Disney American thread? Sorry, limited on time to find the post!

East Broad Top Heavy Mikado - #17
Since I've been working on CAD for a while, off and on, I thought I might post some details to share and motivate me to keep working on the design and start cutting parts. I worked out the trailing truck early on and this will probably be the starting point for the build. I don't know if this style ...

Since on the topic of tubes, Has anyone ever thought they had too many tubes in a boiler? It seems to me if you really had a boiler that fired too well, you could block a small portion of the grate. I think it terms of Stanley cars lately and everyone wants all the tubes you can get, assuming enough...

Re: Cabin Fever
Technically speaking it would have been last weekend. Weather was OK, but ended up with a TERRIBLE ice fiasco which would have been pretty rough on Sunday. Maybe not as bad out by York, but it was NASTY here closer to Philly. This weekend we had snow Friday night which wouldn't have been so bad real...
