My engine has both connecting rods made from 6061-T6 aluminum. The Power Conn Rod top is press fit (or glued) to a drill rod shaft. Your manual for the lathe should have a parts diagram that shows that assembly area.

The switch is mounter directly on the top outlet on the tank, which is solely for the switch, and is where the incoming electric connections are made.
