Mine will whine a little than usual sometimes? (5hp crocker-wheeler 1930's vintage motor ).
i have it mounted on wood just sitting on the floor. Just giving it a little bump changes the sound for the quieter.

Rick, depending on how long and heavy of gauge metal you are using,a piece of angle iron "c" clamped to teh edge of a sturdy workbench and hammering with a wood mallet will do the trick. want to put a radius on it hammer over a pc of pipe of the right diameter wooden mallets and slappers c...

Robert,
some of the blades can be rotated to provide a
new cutting edge. I don't know for sure if yours is
or is not one of them. Do a google search you may
come up with a webpage with tolerance settings.

Steve, I don't have a B&B but a J&L. Are you trying to fix a gap between the folding leaf and the body of the brake? "Sprung" What that means is the folding leaf has been stretched, if it's not bad bolting a pc of angle iron to it will help. If it's bad then heat needs to be applie...

Most of the time you will use the flat die on top. bottom radii should match as closely as you can to the radii of the part being planished. So how many and what radii??? well what are you making or repairing? In the machist part of the bbs there was some good posting on making radii cutters a grind...
