Re: Sandblaster Blower gasket????

Jacin, if you have not found a gasket, the black foam material like armaflex(brand name) it is used on refrigerant suction lines, you can sometimes find it in sheets also. some auto door gasket glue/sealer holds it nicely. Where in the world do you have it? cut a hole in the wall and just have part ...

Re: Crazy Tools

Jacin, if you make a base for it and sharpen the jaw(movable on the inside side) a little you can use it to scribe your sheet metal on a surface plate sorta like a hieght gauge.. i use a height gauge for marking things for trimming (that will fit on the plate or the welding bench) comes in handy. Go...

Re: Casting Glass

Richard, i have watched glass being pressed into molds, that sounds like what you are wanting to do? They used steel molds and the gather pulls molten glass from the kiln(gas fired) the head guy cuts the correct amount as it runs off the gathering stick. and the press guy works the levers and checks...

Re: Help with wheeling. Please.

UKmxer, i think what you are getting is a pucker/ruffle/bottle capper/tuck forming as you stretch with the wheel. (lots of names but mean the same thing) The pucker/tuck is a section of metal that needs to be shrunk(made thicker) Here comes the fun part! If i haven't lost you by now there is hope! t...

George,
i have not looked lately, but i think there
is a plan(or someone's pics of building)
a leaf brake with angle iron on
www.metalwebnews.org (or is it com???)
Some where i saw where you use your vice
and some special "V" jaws to make small
press!

Re: Drill Bit Sharpener, whatzit?

Marty, don' t feel like the lone ranger i have one too in a drawer of catch all cabinet. in does not fit smaller 6" (cause i tried) the angles just don't line up. The grinder that it fits(and i don'thave one) has a beefed up mounting slide on the cast iron housing so this Drill sharpener fits,(...

Re: Couple more Bridgeport Shaper Questions

Jacin,

i am green with envy! i passed up a B/P shaper for a $100 a few years ago,
i didn't think i needed it cause i have the little 7" atlas. Heck it sure would look
good just sitting there, even with a little dust on it<smile>.
Take care!
