I have some 0-80 x 3/32" brass square nuts in stock.
75¢ each, about my cost.
Now should I try 1-72 x 1/8" square nuts next?

Re: 0-80 Square Nuts
I have made some, 0-80 x 3/32 square.
I could make more.
Let me try to price them.
It may take more time to seperate the chips from the nuts then the machine time to make them.

Gear oil contains additives made for gears, not steam engines.

Keep your lead-tin solder, they still work best.

Re: DIY steam oil
Beef tallow is better then lard. SAE 140 oil is to light to work well.
Emulsifying oils are for mechanical lubricators. Emulsifying oils will emulsify in a displacement lubricator.
Use non compounded oil in a displacement lubricator.

Re: Steel tank car end supplier
I have some tank heads but nothing that large.
You can also use a small tank head for the top of the tank car dome.
Shop for Tank Heads, non code.

I expressed an interest in buying the business. The owner decided to sell the business to another person. The new owner was able to loose the hel...

Re: Head light wire
The headlight I supply made originally by Frances Moesley, later by Barry Hauge and then by Robert Johnson is supplied with 28 gauge Teflon insulated wire. I still have the wire spools that Barry purchased. 30 gauge wire would work but it is very difficult to remove the insulation without special to...

Not to seem critical, but those steps were made by The Machinery Works.
Superscale steps are different.
