Mike, how much do you need? I have a piece that is almost 8' long. It's buried at the moment. I'll dig it out and get an accurate measurement next week.

I will be riding behind 148 on the noon train from Lake Placid FL on Sunday Feb. 26. I would like to chase the later trains. Anyone have any advice on how to follow the train?

March/April 2019 Live Steam has an article by Dennis Larrick titled 'Why Two-Inch Scale'.
In it he compares 2" scale models to 2.5" scale models.

I don't think it's worth it. In fact, I don't see how flaring the end will keep the tube from growing. I have tried several ways of fastening tubes - silver soldering, swedging, urethane expanders. I now use a commercial roller with lubricant and leave them as rolled. I roll them as lightly as I can...

I have used bearing bronze die blocks since 1980. They last a long time if you keep them oiled.

I used the Consolidation drivers for the 0-4-0. I used the Mogul cylinders and valve gear, the cab from the American,
and the domes from Chloe. I did design a new boiler.
