Here's a Bib That Won't Fall Off

Post by SteveHGraham »

Light coming in under my helmet was making me nervous, so I wanted a bib. I saw the clips they came with, and I figured that was one more thing that would fall on the floor while I was trying to learn to TIG. I decided to make my own bib. I present it now for criticism.

I am planning to dye the inside of it black tomorrow.

Nothing wrong with that.
As long as it's easy to flop into place when you drop your hood....all is well.

I have some like this guy:
https://www.amazon.com/Revco-Split-Cowh ... g+hood+bib

Local welding supply place carries them, with their (Norco) logo.
I get a freebie now & then...but I've been buying from 'em, including when I was on 'the big job', for almost 20 years.

:)

I have so many things flopping and bouncing around and falling, I felt like I couldn't face another one.

That one has been around since the earliest days of OSHA. It's still applicable. :D

If OSHA had been around before the BATF, supressors wouldn't be regulated, they would be mandatory.

Until I saw the horse, I thought that was a diagram of Steve getting ready to use his grinder to prep a coupon for welding.  Sorry, couldn't resist...
